Being and Becoming: Critical-Decolonial Pedagogies for Embracing Diversity in a Teaching Education Program in Colombia

Abstract

How may English as a Foreign Language pre-service teachers’ identities should be configured? What does it entail to accompany pre-service teachers’ professional development? In this intervention, I describe how “pedagogy of possibilities” allows us to create a safe classroom environment; enhances English as a Foreign Language pre-service teachers’ sense of belonging; and fosters diversity.
