Abstract
Artists and designers are often objects of research on creativity studies. This paper is based on narratives developed by artists and designers about thoughts, principles, and discoveries they made through work. Diaries, interviews and autobiographies of writers, visual artists and designers act as main references. Former studies on creativity by art researchers and psychologists contextualize how studies are made and why new approaches should be considered focusing on innovation.
