Abstract

This article compares the media framing of US bombings of Syria in 2018 and 2021 under two different US presidents. The deployment of selected sources, descriptive identifiers of event participants, and absence of historical context provide the categorical components for the assessment. In addition, the article addresses the lack of media coverage of the human and environmental consequences of military actions as the outcome of media acceptance of US foreign policy, including support for military actions.
