Situating Anti-Semitism in Anti-Racist Theory and Pedagogy
Abstract
This article explores the significant role that Holocaust studies can play in higher educational contexts within an anti-racist pedagogical approach. Emphasis is placed on understanding the unique position of Jews in relation to anti-racist theoretical perspectives and on providing recommendations for incorporating critical analysis of anti-Semitism through the study of the Holocaust. Practical pedagogical suggestions on teaching about the Holocaust from within an anti-racist paradigm are presented.
