Developing Indicators for a Creative, Livable City in Lampang, Northern Thailand
Abstract
The primary objectives of this investigation were to identify indicators for creative, livable cities and develop a standardized set of developmental guidelines for urban development planning in Thailand. A combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods were used to gather data from a variety of stakeholders in the communities of Lampang City, Northern Thailand. The research refines a set of sixteen indicator groups from a review of relevant literature and input from the Lampang community. These guidelines are then used to assess the potential of Lampang for development as a creative, livable city.
